What is the ROPA method (Reception of couple's eggs)?
It is an assisted reproduction technique that we perform in female homoparental couples. This technique allows the participation of both women in achieving pregnancy. One of them provides the eggs and the other receives the embryos and will be the one that carries out the pregnancy and delivery.
Fertilization of the couple's eggs with donor sperm is performed in the laboratory using sperm microinjection (ICSI).
What does it consist of?
One of you, according to medical indications, will be the egg donor and for this she will have to carry out a cycle of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). Hormonal stimulation will be performed to obtain the eggs. The other will be the recipient, for this she will have a uterine preparation with estrogens (hormones) in order to prepare the uterus for the implantation of the embryo.
Phases of ROPA

For couples where both want to be part of the treatment. One donates the eggs and the other carries the pregnancy.
